Bhavri Namak is a traditional salt preparation from Himachal Pradesh, India. It is made using holy basil (bhavri), mint leaves, ginger & Green Chilli. These ingredients are crushed into a paste on a traditional grinding stone (Sil Batta) and mixed with Himalayan pink salt (sendha namak). The result is a flavorful salt with a sharp, peppery, and minty taste profile, which becomes earthy and green when paired with sendha namak.

Bhavri Namak is typically consumed with fruits or salads during the summertime and is known for making vegetables taste sweeter and minty. It is often carried as an appetizer or a quick snack for short day hikes in the mountains.
